Just saw Penelpoe Cruz presenting at the oscars & she took my breath away.So beautiful.Her skin & makeup were flawless.(As was the makeup on Cameron Diaz & Jennifer Lopez,whose eye makeup i`ll be copying.)These ladies are obviously beautiful,but it is a well known fact that a lot of `skin prepping` & other preparation goes into them looking so flawless & luminous.
Skin prepping or priming is a fast track way to awsome skin so that makeup looks amazing over an already amazing canvas.This is done through exfoliation,stimulation& hydration, & range in technique & application from simple & quick, to sophisticated & more lengthy.The types of ingredients & products used are key to this process.

Enjoy an Aromatherapy Facial
Anyone can benefit from an aromatherapy facial.As the name implies,it is a facial using aromatherapy essential oils. During one of my aromatherapy facials I use 100% pure essential oils each step of the way,of one of the most relaxing experiences ever.Essential oils have been used for thousands of years & throughout many cultures & are used now more than ever before in modern day skin care & beauty therapy.
An aromatheapy facial takes approximately one hour.Upon your arrival your feet will be wrapped in hot towels with lemon myrtle oil,the pores of your skin will be opened with the steamer& hot towels soaked in lavender essential oil.Your skin is then double cleansed with pure organic coconut oil &rose or orange blossom water.The best part is the massage which is done with a customised blend of essential oils unique to the individual.Facial massage stimulates the blood & lymph flow,which encourages nutrients to the area & removes toxic waste,dead skin cells & debris clogging the pores causing congestion,which leads to acne,blackheads,rough patches& scaliness,or a dull & lifeless complexion.Massage with essential oils is also beneficial for people who suffer from rosacea or broken capillaries,although the type of massage can be adjusted to suit the very sensitive skin of those suffering from these conditions,such as lymphatic drainage or facial shiatsu.Facial mask is now applied & again is customised to treat certain skin conditions & types.Orange blossom water or rose water is used to close& tighten pores ,skin is moisturised & refreshing green tea is served to complete the very relaxing experience that is The Aromatherapy Facial.

makeup remover/facial cleanser-make your own from your fridge or pantry...
If you have run out of makeup remover or facial cleanser,spare yourself the time & money & raid the kitchen pantry or fridge for your own home grown version.
The following make excellent cleansers for facial skin+makeup removal.I have tried most of them myself @ one time or another & regularly reach for any of these ingredients to use as a handy cleanser.
Plain natural yoghurt(preferably organic) all skin types.
Olive oil-excellent makeup remover-dry skin
Almond oil all skin types especially oily
Coconut oil -pure virgin preferably organic-makeup remover second to none!anti-bacterial so excellent for oily sikn.
Sour cream-normal or dry skin
**remove all with cotton pads or soft muslin then rinse face with warm or cool water then pat dry

inspiration for christmas,aromatherapy body massage
hello my pretties,
i havnt blogged for some time as i have been busier with my day job.Speaking of day job,if anyone would like a lovely aromatherapy facial or aromatherapy body massage to ease tension,de-stress or rejuvenate over the festive season,i work from my lovely studio at emerald beach a couple of days a week or by appointment-its a great way to rejuvenate tired skin or simply chill out.My contact email is fionahorsleyaromatherapy@live.com.au

NARS BRONZER-GOD IT`S GOOD
For those of you lovelies who love your makeup or those who,like me still have a winter pale complexion & who like to just add colour,there is a fantastic bronzer from NARS cosmetics called multiple bronzer.There are a range of shades to choose from to complement your natural colouring but I am using MALAYSIA.
These bronzers come in stick form with a lovely cream to powder texture as opposed to loose powder bronzers.Apply to freshly moisturised skin for a luminous & healthy glow & blend with fingers-quick,easy & on trend as a go- to look for spring.NARS bronzers have been a cult favourite for ages, now i know why.
