Adopt a healthy diet and lifestyle which includes but is not limited to:

Drink lots of purified water
Make fruit, vegetables, nuts and fibre the mainstay of your diet
Limit dairy and red meat, and eliminate white flour, sugar and anything made with them. Also eliminate other highly refined 'dead food' and 'bad fats'from the diet.
Include "good fats'-the omega 3 fatty acids from fish oils or evening primrose oil.
Drink freshly squeezed lemon juice in warm water every morning
Taking a good quality supplement that includes echinacea, zinc, vitamin C and the B vitamins can be beneficial
Gently cleanse skin 2xdaily with suitable products such as a good quality goatsmilk soap,a teatree oil soap or wash OR an anti-bacterial soap can be very helpful such as sebamed medicated soap
Use lavender essential oil-dab directly onto pimples, blackheads, scar tissue
Tea-tree essential oil can be used on pimples using a cotton bud
Geranium e/o is also excellent as it is a hormonal balancer and assists circulation. All of the oils have antibacterial properties.Geranium can be mixed into a moisturiser OR you can make a nourishing, healing oil by adding 3 drops of lavender and 3 drops of geranium to 25ml of apricot kernel oil
Keep skin clean but you can only do what you can-don't obsess.
Minimise stress-find ways to relax mind and body, such as yoga and meditation
Change your pillow case every day(really important)
